Vita Architecture is a London and Surrey based practice with years of experience in delivering innovative and crafted architecture.
Our story started like many others in a spare office room in Surrey in 2016, when Ben took the leap of faith and set up Vita Architecture. It has not been long after, that Ruta joined the practice and embarked on a journey together.
Growing the team has led to having a creative space in London Bridge, Brixton and now we are settled in Croydon! The practice is a labor of love – we care about
our clients, creating beautiful architecture that exceeds expectations and spaces that inspire users. The combination of our creative and mathematical skills allows us to come up with designs full of individual character that is carefully considered and crafted.
Being architects is our life – we are confident from the very early stages of sketching ideas through to climbing ladders and seeing the projects take shape on site with hard hats and heavy boots. The experience and support we bring allows the client to focus on the project outcomes, while we concentrate on the project process.
Ben has passion for beautiful design, but is also a commercially minded architect, ensuring that the dream can be delivered.
Ben sees architecture as an opportunity to experience the world in a very analytic way. Prior to establishing Vita he has attained wide ranging experience at award winning architectural practices with projects across UK, Europe and Middle East. The passion to broaden the horizons and spark innovation is brought through to Vita with projects in Singapore, Lithuania, Latvia and Portugal.
Ben is also a trustee at Dorking Society and runs the Community, Conservation and Planning group, which in a nutshell means that he is on a panel reviewing planning applications within the town as well as surrounding areas. This allows Ben to be in touch with the community and direct the development of the area in a constructive and collaborative way.
Ruta is a creatively intrepid and imaginative architect who is consistently looking to challenge boundaries.
Naturally curious and inquisitive with a confident and empathetic personality, Kochi and Leia are Ruta's two chihuahuas. Fortunately, she also shares these character traits which helps form the practice and the work it produces. During her career Ruta has worked in Lithuania, Russia, and Turkey but in the end returned to London, bringing the versatility and sense of wonder. Her experience spans from bespoke luxury domestic developments to large teams of high profile commercial and residential projects.
She ensures that each project is delivered with a sense of personality, story, and craft. The care for built environment and community is channelled by Ruta being a panel member on Sydenham Society involved in Conservation and Planning. She is also passionate about education and is teaching architecture in Vilnius Academy of Arts and is on board of governors at the Sydenham High School/GDST London.
