To achieve this, we analyzed Lithuanian traditions and pagan beliefs regarding nature and the significance of specific plants. We symbolically chose the rue plant, which plays a significant role in folklore, including representing life and protection from evil forces.
In this way, we combined the design’s focus on texture, color, and conveying a sense of calm with the building’s luxurious classical architecture and collaboration with the entire hotel team. The initial design steps helped our studio integrate the client’s vision and, together with the entire hotel team, create a room with character and, in my opinion, a soul.
GRAND HOTELVILNIUS - HALLS
Grand Hotel Vilnius is a historic hotel built in a legendary Lithuanian city with a soul. We wanted to create an environment and a feeling that combines the cultural heritage of Lithuania, the location of the building and the architectural character interpreted for our time. The interior of the room had to belong to this building - to have a strong identity.
