Great to see this new build private house win planning approval through Reigate and Banstead Borough Council!
The approved design features a rich and varied material palette, including charred timber slats, textured off-white render, long-format linear bricks in a mix of tones, and distinctive arrowhead-format hanging clay tiles, complemented by traditional clay roof tiles. Carefully selected to reflect the character of neighbouring homes while offering a refined, contemporary expression, the materials strike a balance between contextual sensitivity and architectural ambition. Landscaping is being developed in collaboration with Wild By Design and will include naturalised and pollinator-friendly planting, vegetable planters, mixed native hedging, a wildlife pond, and an outdoor cooking shelter—bringing ecological value and outdoor amenity to the heart of the site.
