Here's a peek of our desert hotel designed in collaboration with Wave digital engineers and Badd studio. The concept hotel was an ideas entry for a competition.
Our proposal looked to use solidified sand as the main building material. Bacillus pasteurii, a bacteria that hold the ability to solidify a calcium source is injected through piles deep into the sand to create building shells to which parabaloid glazing units and services are plugged into. Each unit has wide views out to the desert and hopefully if you're lucky the occasional Oryx. Anyhow, more to the point, can you find the Oryx in the image?
